Oklahoma Bingo
Oklahoma has for a long time been interrelated with Bingo. That is owing to the fact that the Indian tribes of Oklahoma have provided Bingo games for many years. Guests from many of the surrounding states load up in automobiles and travel into Oklahoma to bet on Bingo on the weekends.
The 1988 Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA) became law after a landmark decision by The U.S. Supreme Court the year before. From that instance, twenty three of the thirty nine Native bands of Oklahoma have introduced gambling halls. The Chickasaw were the 1st Oklahoma Indian tribes to take advantage of the gaming laws, and today control ten gambling dens of their own. Bingo is the game on which the above-mentioned casinos were founded. digital games such as slots were not permitted, because they are thought to lead to gambling addiction more than bingo.
In recent years, Oklahoma law have changed to permit massive Amerindian gambling casinos. You will now find Amerindian casinos with one armed bandits, video poker and vingt-et-un tables. Craps and roulette are not yet authorized in the Amerindian casinos as of yet, but this is only a matter of time. Nobody can determine what having other games in the bingo houses will do for the appeal of bingo.
