Much has been written in the papers not long ago about the bingo industry singing the blues as a result of the smoking ban in the United Kingdom. Conditions have grown so awful that in Scotland the Bingo industry has asked for massive tax breaks to assist in keeping the businesses alive. Bingo has been an age old game generally enjoyed by the "blue rinse" generation. This is all about to be reversed with the legislating of the anti cigarette law around Britain.

Players will no longer be permitted to puff on cigarettes while marking off their numbers. The outcome of the anti cigarette law can already be seen in Scotland where smoking is already forbidden in the bingo parlours. Players have plummeted and the business is absolutely fighting for to stay alive. But where have all the players gone? Of course they haven’t abandoned this ancient game?

The answer is online. People are now realizing that they can gamble on bingo from their computer whilst enjoying a beverage and cig and in the end, enjoy big cash rewards. This is a recent anomaly and has happened almost perfectly with the ban on cigarettes.
